About museum

In 1993, the administration of the closed administrative-territorial formation (ZATO) of the city of Severomorsk established the House of Applied Creativity and Folk Crafts. In 2015 it was merged into the Severomorsk Museum and Exhibition Complex and reorganized into the Department of Applied Creativity and Folk Crafts. The main objective of this department is the preservation, development and promotion of folk traditions and decorative-applied arts. Exhibition displays have been arranged in the demonstration hall. For more than 20 years the team has been actively working on the restoration, preservation and development of decorative and applied arts. Today the Severomorsk Museum and Exhibition Complex serves as a consulting center for local history, as well as a center for moral-patriotic and aesthetic education.
