Sergiyevo-Posadsky Museum-Reserve — Local History Building
About museum
The museum's Local History Building — an object of regional cultural heritage — is located in the historic center of the town in a small park. It was the first stone civilian building erected in the town after the 1917 revolution — a kindergarten built for the children of young families, employees of the Rosa Luxemburg Knitting Factory, in 1937 according to a design that later became a model for the standard construction of children's institutions across the country.

\r\nThe building houses the town's only exhibition dedicated to the region's 20th-century history. Would you like to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a provincial town at the beginning of the century, experience its revolutionary changes, rediscover a heroic chapter of military history, recall the cozy 1950s? Then we look forward to welcoming you to our exhibitions.
