Petrovsky Museum of History, Dubovoe village

A branch of the Museum of History of Petrovsky District, located in the village of Dubovoe, is housed in the building of a former manor that belonged to the Ablov family until 1917. It was built in 1861 and impresses with its grandeur. The institution was opened in 1989. In four halls there are materials related to the history of the village of Dubovoe before the revolution, as well as to the period of the Great Patriotic War (World War II). The exhibition 'A Generation Scorched by War' presents documents and awards of veterans and home-front workers. In addition, the museum offers visitors materials on contemporary history and on people who have brought renown to the land of Dubovoe at different times and on various fronts. The museum's overall collection consists of more than 500 exhibits.
