About museum

The exhibition presents the development of the banks of the Klyazma River and household items of the inhabitants of the Bolshevo settlement, which appeared more than 400 years ago. There are 18 archaeological sites in this area, the best known of which is the Maksimkovskoye settlement. In addition, the museum tells the story of the development of the city of Yubileyny, which arose in 1939 after the opening of the Higher Red Banner Military Engineering School, as well as the activities of Research Artillery Institute of Rocket Weapons No. 4, which became one of the sources for the creation of domestic rocket and space technology. The exhibition also highlights the contribution of the city's residents to the victory of the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War.
