Educational and Exhibition Center "Iron!"

About museum

On December 12, 2014, the Educational and Exhibition Center "Iron!" was opened at the STI of NITU "MISiS". It was created in cooperation between STI NITU MISiS, the Moscow Polytechnic Museum, and the mining and metallurgical holding company Metalloinvest. Here visitors can learn about metallurgical technologies and professions across multiple sciences, and also interact with unique exhibits from the Moscow Polytechnic Museum. The goal of the "Iron!" center is to promote the profession of metallurgist, to provide the younger generation with information about enterprises in the ferrous metallurgy industry, and about the veterans who were at the origins of the design and construction of the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant. The center is a multifunctional exhibition, educational and leisure space equipped with multimedia facilities where visitors can view photo slides and videos, study the processes of steel smelting and rolling production, and also obtain information online.
