December 14, 1984 is the date of the official opening of the Achinsk Museum and Exhibition Center. Currently, visitors to the MEC can use various services: participate in cultural and educational lectures, interactive tours, fairs, art projects and other events. The center's staff are always trying to find something new. Achinsk actively promotes folk art, decorative and applied arts, rituals and traditions. The center cooperates with kindergartens, schools, secondary specialized institutions and universities, offering lectures, master classes and tours. In cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk Krai House of Arts, the V.I. Surikov Krasnoyarsk Art Museum and the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute, residents and guests of the city were given the opportunity to visit unique exhibitions by well-known masters. In February 2019, Achinsk joined the 'All-Russian Virtual Concert Hall' project, for which the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation provided funds to purchase equipment.
