Museum 'Kolokolnikov Estate'
About museum
In Tyumen the only surviving classical merchant estate, the 'Kolokolnikov Estate', has been preserved. The building's unique façade is executed in the styles of Neoclassicism, Baroque and traditional Tyumen carving. Inside there are sumptuous halls with portraits of the Kolokolnikov family, as well as a trade shop. The museum presents a permanent exhibition 'History of the House, 19th–20th centuries', dedicated to the histories of the Ikonnikov and Kolokolnikov families, as well as to various historical events that took place in this house. In 1837 the future emperor Alexander II visited here together with V. A. Zhukovsky, and in 1919 the headquarters of Marshal V. K. Blyukher was located here.
