V. I. Lenin's Hut Museum
About museum
The historical and cultural museum complex in Razliv includes a branch called "Lenin's Hut." It is located in a picturesque spot on the shore of the Sestroretsky Razliv. In 1917 V. I. Lenin and G. E. Zinoviev hid here from the Provisional Government while being forced to move from the village of Razliv. For this purpose N. A. Emelyanov rented a haymaking plot on the deserted southeastern shore of the lake and built a hut of branches and hay. The revolutionaries hid there disguised as Finnish peasants; it was also here that Lenin began writing his book "The State and Revolution." Today the museum offers visitors two exhibitions and the opportunity to take part in the annual Public-Art exhibition, which features works by contemporary artists.
