V.I. Albanov Polar Explorers Museum
About museum
The museum is dedicated to famous Arctic explorers born in Bashkortostan. Among them is Valerian Albanov, a native of Ufa who became the prototype for the hero of the well-known novel "Two Captains." He traveled a unique route across the drifting ice of the Arctic Ocean and survived the polar expedition of Georgy Brusilov. At the museum, visitors can learn more about this untamed and powerful yet fragile region, about the indigenous peoples and their traditions. The museum's exhibition includes not only unique artifacts but also interactive features: projections, information kiosks, and a screening room. For children aged 5 to 17 there are numerous activities and master classes. The tour lasts 40–45 minutes.
