Tula Defense Museum
About museum
The Tula Defense Museum is a place where the past meets the present, where past and present come together to preserve and promote the traditions of heroism and the struggle for our Motherland. The Tula Defense Museum is a unique venue that broadly presents the heroic defense of the city during the Great Patriotic War. Tula was one of the few cities that withstood the fascist attacks and did not surrender. The defenders of Tula were soldiers of the 50th Army, the Tula Workers' Regiment and NKVD units. The museum displays more than 60 items from the collections of the Tula Museum Association, rarities and authentic objects donated by Tula residents. Here you can learn about the period of the city's defense, as well as the region's history during the war years. Children can take part in an interactive program that, in a playful way, teaches what was in the first-aid kit and parcels sent to the front. This is a place where past and present unite to support and develop traditions of heroism and the struggle for the Motherland.
