About museum
On July 7, 1963, in the settlement of Dubrovka the Nevsky Pyatachok Museum was opened, dedicated to the bloody battles of 1941–1943 in which more than two hundred thousand Soviet soldiers took part. It was established on the initiative of and with the direct participation of veterans. In 1991 the museum was destroyed by fire, but in 1998 it was revived based on salvaged exhibits. In 1999 it received state status and became part of the State Budgetary Cultural Institution of the Leningrad Region 'Museum Agency'. The museum's main activity is the compilation of the Book of Memory of the settlement of Dubrovka. The exhibits on display help convey the atmosphere of the time, and a diorama reflects the bloody events of the war. The museum's collections contain more than 700 items, including various small arms, devices and implements for combat, as well as household items and personal belongings of servicemen. The museum stands as a monument to all defenders of the Motherland who died and are buried here.
