Kuznetsk City Museum of Local History
About museum
The City Museum of Local History is housed in the former "Komsomolets" cinema, built in the style of monumental Soviet architecture. It features a permanent exhibition of the late 19th–early 20th centuries, including unique documents, household items, national costumes, and objects that demonstrate the development of crafts in Kuznetsk. The museum includes a merchant's parlor, as well as materials on education, medicine, and religion. In addition, visitors can see a fragment of a mammoth tusk found near Kuznetsk. For lovers of fine art there are exhibitions of works by artists that convey in each painting the thoughts, feelings, and unique worldview of the artist, while at the same time reflecting the mark of their era.
