Museum of Fine Arts (Noble Assembly)

In 2001, the Museum of Fine Arts was opened in the building of the Noble Assembly, housing the exhibition "Russian Art of the 18th–20th Centuries", which offers an opportunity to get acquainted with a rich collection of Russian painting, graphic art and sculpture of the 18th–20th centuries. The collection of portrait miniatures is represented in its full genre and stylistic diversity.

\r\nThe main part of the museum collection was formed in the 1920s–1930s from closed noble estates, the State Russian Museum and the Russian Museum Fund. The collection of artworks includes paintings by D. Levitsky, V. Borovikovsky, F. Rokotov, K. Bryullov, V. Tropinin, I. Repin, I. Aivazovsky and others. Among the museum's notable examples of sculpture are works by M. Antokolsky, F. Shubin, M. Vrubel and P. Trubetskoy.

\r\nThe house for the Noble Deputies' Assembly was built to a design by the well-known St. Petersburg architect A. I. Shtakenshneider in 1851.
