Tkachenko Museum of Fine Arts
About museum
The museum offers visitors a rich selection of works of Russian and foreign art, as well as works by local artists. The variety of exhibitions changes regularly every three weeks. The museum's holdings include solo, thematic, anniversary and educational exhibitions, as well as exchange exhibitions with other museums. The museum's main audience consists of schoolchildren, students and art educational institutions. Exhibitions present works of various types and genres of art using different techniques. Visitors can become acquainted with authentic works of art and learn about art from different eras. Special attention is paid to works from the Soviet period and to the decorative and applied arts of the peoples of Kabardino-Balkaria. The museum is a meeting place for people interested in art—such as artists, collectors and viewers—who can get to know the work of colleagues and works by authors who are no longer living.
