Kylasovo Village History Museum
About museum
In 1996 a museum was established in a wooden building constructed in 1907 for the village hospital. The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the history of the Kylasovo land and is presented in seven halls: in "The Village on the Siberian Route" the founding of the village, its inhabitants and their occupations are described; in "The Tsar's Road" a guard hut and a barrier are displayed; in the "Russian Izba" and the "Bright Chamber" peasant life is presented. The "Peasant Homestead" contains exhibits donated by local residents, and in "Let Us Bow to Our Local Heroes" the museum tells about Kylasovo residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War and the home front workers. One of the rooms houses a hospital ward, and in "Born in the USSR" the pioneer and Komsomol organizations and the history of education in the village are described. In "Praise to the Hands That Smell of Bread" the history of agricultural development on Kylasovo land is presented.
