Lesnoy Park of Culture and Recreation
About museum
Lesnoy Park of Culture and Recreation began to develop as a forest-park recreational area for residents of the town Sverdlovsk-45 from the late 1940s on the shores of a pond. In 1985 this place was renamed Park of Culture and Recreation. In 2003 it was granted the status of a municipal institution, and in 2011 the status of a municipal budgetary institution. It is part of and subordinate to MKU 'Department of Culture of the Administration of the Urban District City of Lesnoy'. As a leisure institution, the park regularly holds play-and-entertainment events for parents with children, competitions and exhibitions of creative works, quest games for city summer camps, festive programs and mass celebrations. These include the opening of the summer park season, Victory Day, Children's Day, City Day, Youth Day, the national cultural festival Sabantuy, the city holiday Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, and Knowledge Day. Since 2013 the park has successfully taken part in the all-Russian charity campaign 'Let's Smile at the Sunny Day!'.
