The Lefortovo History Museum was founded in 1999 and provides an opportunity to trace how life in this small Moscow neighborhood has changed from the 18th century to the present day. The exhibition details the history of the Petrine era, visits by representatives of the ruling authorities, as well as the development of industry and military-educational institutions. The museum displays documents, photographs and paintings illustrating Lefortovo's history in the 20th century. Overview, costumed, bus and walking tours are offered here, allowing visitors to gain a complete understanding of the development of this unique corner of Russia.
