The Museum of the History of Statehood of the Tatar People and the Republic of Tatarstan is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Kremlin museum-reserve, located in the building of the former Palace Church in the oldest part of the Kazan Kremlin. It presents the history of the formation of statehood, ethnogenesis and religion of the Tatar people over a period of more than 2,000 years. The museum exhibits a reconstruction of the throne of the Kazan khans, a 10th-century Czech coin, items of material and spiritual culture, samples of 16th-century writing and other unique artifacts. The museum regularly hosts guided tours, master classes, quests, quizzes and other cultural and educational events for people of all ages.
