Simferopol City History Museum
About museum
In July 2008 the Simferopol City Council adopted a decision to create a museum in the city center at 17 Pushkin Street. The museum is a municipal institution and its activities and objectives are related to the development of the city. The museum building is an interesting example of architecture of the second half of the 19th century and is connected with the lives and activities of various notable people, including the scientist-florist E. V. Wulff. Today the museum holds a collection of exhibits assembled with the help of the city's residents, as well as an interesting collection of old photographs. In 2009 the museum was opened to visitors and offers an exhibition dedicated to the city's history, as well as art and photographic exhibitions.
