Youth Historical and Cultural Center 'Nosov Mansion'
About museum
The mansion was built in 1903 to a design by L. N. Kekushev, an outstanding master of Russian Art Nouveau. It belonged to the Old Believer merchant family Nosov. After the 1917 Revolution various institutions were housed here, the last of which were a dormitory and a kindergarten. In the early 1990s the Russian State Youth Library and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation initiated the restoration of this historical and cultural monument. Today it is a youth historical and cultural center that invites everyone to learn about the history of Russian entrepreneurship, Art Nouveau, and the culture of the 'Silver Age'. The center features historical and documentary exhibitions dedicated to the Nosov family, the architect L. N. Kekushev, and the history of Russian entrepreneurship. Film screenings, literary and musical evenings, chamber music concerts, exhibitions, master classes, and other events are also held here.
