Kyrinsky District Local History Museum

On October 27, 2000, the Kyrinsky District Local History Museum was opened, offering visitors five permanent exhibitions: 'Nature Department', 'Department of Military Glory', 'Department of History of the Kyrinsky District', 'Russian izba of the 1950s–1960s (20th century)', and 'Soldier of Victory of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945)'. The museum houses collections of natural science items (mosses, lichens, bird nests), as well as mineralogical, ornithological, entomological and other objects. The museum's holdings also include documents and photographs reflecting various periods of the history and natural environment of the Kyrinsky District. The main collection comprises 9,008 storage units, and the auxiliary collection contains 4,911 units.
