Krasnokamsk Local History Museum
About museum
\r\nIn 1960 a public museum was founded in the city of Krasnokamsk. It all began in a wooden building in the Tekhnichesky settlement, then it moved to the administration building of the plant, and later to premises of a residential building on Mira Avenue, where the museum is still located. In 2007 it was reclassified as a municipal cultural institution and received the name 'Krasnokamsk City Local History Museum'. The museum currently has about 10,000 exhibits, including ethnographic and natural history collections and Krasnokamsk wooden toys. The museum's permanent exhibitions include 'Krasnokamsk. Awards of Victory', 'Communal Apartment. Soviet Everyday Life of the 1930s–1960s', and the ecological diorama 'Forest and Man'. For many years the museum has attracted visitors of all ages. Here you can feel history, immerse yourself in the present, and think about the future.
