Rubtsovsk Local History Museum
About museum
The museum was founded in 1967 and until 1972 operated on a voluntary basis. In 1972 it received the status of a city local history museum, and in 1986 a new premises of 95 sq. m. with a separate storage for collections was provided. The museum's exhibitions are dedicated to various aspects of local history. The 'Kolyvan Stone-Cutting' hall is particularly popular with visitors, as the mineralogical collection is very diverse. Notable in its design is the hall dedicated to the history of the founding of Rubtsovsk, as well as the 'Family History' hall, which impresses with its collection of original documents. As of January 1, 2022, the museum's holdings comprise 29,502 items.
