Kaltasinsky District Museum of History and Local Lore
About museum
In 1997 a decision was made to create a museum in the Kaltasinsky District, and it was officially opened on May 8, 2001. Thanks to the work of Sergey Isimetovich Isimetov, the museum was filled with unique exhibits, materials, documents and photographs. Its halls contain exhibits on various topics: antiquities, the district's flora and fauna, a peasant farmstead, Mari and Russian izbas, a Bashkir izba, national costumes, halls of military glory and labor glory, as well as an exhibition hall. The Kaltasinsky Museum is a source of pride for local residents and visitors to the district, and is also a venue for lessons, lectures, tours and exhibition presentations, paintings by local artists, books and children's art. The museum has collected extensive material on the history of the district's settlements.
