Sovetsky District Historical and Local History Museum
About museum
The District Historical and Local History Museum of the Sovetsky District of the Republic of Crimea is a true treasury preserving the history, culture and traditions of the peoples living in the district. The museum's official opening took place on February 22, 1992. The building of the former estate of the landowner Emmanuil Stavrovich Grammatikov was allocated for the district museum, and funds were provided for repairs and outfitting. The basis for the exhibits consisted of items from a room-museum created in the 1960s on the initiative of Vera Andreevna Zolotova, former commissar of the Ichkinsky partisan detachment. Today the museum features 10 exhibition halls rich in unique exhibits and systematically presented materials. The museum's total area is 114 square meters.
