Historical and Local History Museum of the urban-type settlement Chegem
About museum
The museum in Chegem opened on May 9, 2005. It maintains close ties with local educational institutions, which helps educate the younger generation and teach them responsibility for the nature and culture of the region. To this end, the museum holds lectures, master classes, meetings, exhibitions, guided tours, and film screenings. Each year the museum is visited by more than 3,000 people. It has its own website and cooperates with the newspaper "Voice of Chegem." The museum's collections contain nearly 950 items, of which 380 are part of the main collection. The exhibitions are located in three halls and cover the period from the 16th century to the present day. All items were donated to the museum by residents of Chegem.
