Historical and Local Lore Museum of Altai State Pedagogical University

About museum

The museum's exhibition presents items that span a chronological range from the Paleozoic to the present day. Here you can see many interesting exhibits obtained during archaeological and ethnographic expeditions, as well as items donated to the museum by private individuals. On display are bone remains of ancient animals, archaeological artifacts, objects illustrating the culture of the peoples of Altai, and Christian relics. The museum offers general guided tours as well as themed ethnographic and archaeological tours. This allows visitors to learn about Altai's most ancient past, the traditions of the Russian peasant household, Christian shrines, the Holy Scriptures and much more.
