Inzhavino Local History Museum
About museum
The Inzhavino Local History Museum was established with public funds in the 1970s. Local historians of the Inzhavinsky District appealed to residents asking them to collect local history materials to create a museum in the settlement of Inzhavino. The Government of the RSFSR awarded the museum the title "People's" in 1988. The museum features five halls: the nature hall; the historical-ethnographic hall; the hall of military glory; the hall of the history of cultural development, education and healthcare; as well as an exhibition hall. Personal exhibitions are held on an ongoing basis. In the museum's storerooms there is a collection of folk instruments acquired with funds from the district administration. The museum has a collection of genuine 19th-century items donated by Vera Ivanovna Dokhturova. The museum also displays a collection of artworks painted by contemporary artists after an artists' gathering from 18 regions of Russia.
