Information and Educational Center 'Russian Museum: Virtual Branch'

About museum

Residents of Khakassia are offered the opportunity to explore the virtual exhibitions and displays of the Russian Museum and to use the extensive library of the largest art museum in Russia. The project provides engaging materials for people of all ages. The 'Russian Museum Complex' section presents information about famous architectural landmarks, while the 'Collections of the Russian Museum' section covers topics on art, religion, folk art and more. Children can play interactive educational games based on the Russian Museum's collections and exhibitions. The video films in the 'In the Artist's Studio' section reveal the secrets behind the creation of masterpieces. Original programs by the director of the Russian Museum, Vladimir Gusev, cover more than 150 topics. Students in creative fields can take the 'Electronic Course on the History of Russian Art.' In the center's interactive space, it is possible to work individually or in groups of up to 40 people, and to host video lessons and lectures.
