State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve 'Lenino-Kokushkino'

In 1939, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the exile of V. I. Ulyanov-Lenin, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve Lenino-Kokushkino was opened. During the revolution the estate was completely destroyed, but in 1987 it was fully restored. Today visitors can explore guided routes through the estate, the wing, the Main House, the garden and the farmstead, and view paintings, documents, photographs, furniture and Lenin's personal belongings. The museum also houses galleries and video films about the life and activities of V. I. Lenin. The museum is a monument of history and culture intended to help people understand and respect historical traditions and culture.
