Gaginsky District Local History Museum
About museum
In 1985, a retired teacher and World War II veteran, Alexander Ivanovich Polyakov, opened the Local History Museum in Gagino. In recent years, four exhibition halls with 36 displays have been organized here, including a traveling exhibition, and a collection of 2,520 items has been assembled. The museum is a unique treasury of the historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Gagino area, presenting ethnographic and archaeological materials that span from ancient times to the beginning of the last century. All exhibits are complemented by photographs and are presented as authentic objects.
