Ethnocultural Complex "Yanov Khutor"
About museum
Located near the village of Beryozovka, Yanov Khutor is surrounded by the pristine nature of Siberia — clear lakes, fast streams, endless meadows and magnificent taiga. The "Yanov Day" festival is held here, and the site also features a riga, a mill and swings. There is a pond on the Yanov Meadow for theatrical performances. Visitors can sample Estonian dishes, take part in rituals, and hike the ecological trail. The traditional ceremonies — the "opakhivanie" (a clearing/blessing ritual) of the Yanov Meadow, the search for the fern (the fern‑flower quest), weaving and launching wreaths onto the water, flower divination, rolling burning wheels down the hill, and gathering dew — create unforgettable impressions and attract many festival guests and foreign tourists.
