On 7 September 2017, the exhibition 'Borodino Field: Milestones of History' was opened in the Imperial Palace in the village of Borodino, restored to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino. It presents the past, present and future of the field. Here you can see the oldest archaeological finds, monuments to the 'battle of giants', four museums, the 1912 anniversary events, rare photographs and exhibits, items from the military uniform collection, portraits of emperors, memorial items, newsreels and multimedia presentations. Also, the pavilion above the ruins of the Davydov estate displays graphic and sculptural portraits of seven participants in the Battle of Borodino.
