V. P. Aksyonov House Museum

\r\nIn Kazan, on one of the central streets, there is the Museum of Vasily Pavlovich Aksyonov, dedicated to the period of the writer's life in the city from 1938 to 1948. In 2009 the house-museum was opened at the initiative of the Kazan city administration. Here you can see a typewriter, a radio, photographs and items that belonged to Aksyonov. In 2007 the city's mayor, I. R. Metshin, proposed celebrating the writer's 75th anniversary in his homeland. Since then the "Aksyonov-fest" festival has been held every year, featuring themed meetings, musical events, master classes and book presentations. The museum belongs to MBUK "Museum Complex of the City of Kazan".
