V.I. Lenin House-Museum in Ulyanovsk
About museum
The first Lenin museum in Russia was opened here. It is located in the house where the Ulyanov family lived in Simbirsk from 1878 to 1887. I. N. Ulyanov, a distinguished educator of the region, lived and worked here. In this house Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin) spent his gymnasium years and later became an influential politician of the 20th century. The house was restored and became an example of provincial architecture. In addition to the garden and courtyard, there are utility outbuildings and children's playgrounds. The museum's restoration was supported by Anna Ilyinichna, Dmitry Ilyich, and Maria Ilyinichna Ulyanov, as well as their contemporaries.
