About museum
\r\nIn 2003, a museum was opened in Dubovy Umet, which became the historical and local history center of the Volzhsky District. It presents a unique exhibition dedicated to the history of the Samara Region from ancient times to the present day. Here you can learn about Stone Age people and view the paleontological collection. The Wild Field represents a fusion of many cultures, routes and customs. In the main exhibition you can see the hardships and joys of the peasants and sense the aroma of steppe grasses. Here you can also read about the history of the settlement of the suburban lands of Samara and see portraits of great figures such as Nestor Karlovich Genko and Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The museum hosts exhibitions and interactive programs, such as "Russian Festivities", which allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Russian holidays.
