House-Museum of the Tukayev Family
About museum
Koshlauch village is the birthplace of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay, who was born on April 26, 1886 to the family of the mullah Mukhammetgarif and Bibimamdu. The museum located in the village displays the poet's parental home, Tukay's works written for children and their illustrations, household items from the 19th–20th centuries collected in the villages of the Arsky district, photographs, archival documents and memorial items. The exhibition features recurring themes "Mother's World" and "Father's World", related to the religious mission and duties of the mullah. In addition, the museum presents Tukay's genealogy written in Tatar, Russian and English.
