Exhibition Hall of the I.I. Krylov House-Museum
About museum
The memorial house-museum of the artist Ivan Ivanovich Krylov is a monument of federal significance. It was established on the initiative of the Museum of the History of the Don Cossacks, the artist's daughter Nina Ivanovna Krylov-Guryeva, and the public of the city and region, and was opened on June 1, 1979. It preserves the memory of the outstanding landscape painter. The exhibition is organized according to the structure of memorial house-museums and reflects the Novocherkassk period of the artist's life from 1900–1936. The museum contains more than 70% of the memorial items that belonged to the artist himself and his family. The "Krylov Fridays" club meetings, attended by the city's creative intelligentsia, are also held here, as well as permanent exhibitions from the museum's collections, from artists of the city and region, and from various cities across the country.
