About museum

The Arbuzov and Butlerov House-Museum in Bilyarsk is a monument to the selflessness of great scientists who left an indisputable mark on the history of Russia. Here you can learn about the lives of Alexander Erminingeldovich and Boris Alexandrovich Arbuzov, as well as Alexander Mikhailovich Butlerov — an outstanding scientist and a virtuous physician. The museum performs an important socio-political function — instilling in society the necessary moral convictions, including selfless service to the Motherland. The museum shows particular reverence for Butlerov, who did not live long but managed to do much for the people and the region. A chapel-tomb was built over his grave in 1904–1908. Thus, the museum calls for selflessness and heroic deeds for the good of the Motherland.
