Divnogorsk City Museum
About museum
In the 1960s Divnogorsk attracted nationwide attention due to the construction of the country's largest hydroelectric power station. In 1971 Konstantin Zyryanov proposed creating a museum to preserve the memory of those heroic days for future generations, but the idea was not implemented. Several years later an organizing committee was formed to establish the museum. Three years later the ceremonial opening of the Museum of Labor Glory was held. It features documents, photographs, books, works of art, product samples, models of Divnogorsk enterprises, and household items that provide an understanding of the process of building the Krasnoyarsk HPP and Divnogorsk, as well as of the people who built the power station and the town.
