\r\nOn June 1, 2013, a new children's museum opened in the city of Krasnokamsk, belonging to the Krasnokamsk Local History Museum. It bears an unusual name - 'Toys from Shavings'. In a large spacious hall there are wooden rockers and pull-along toys, matryoshkas, stacking pyramids, wooden construction sets, painted boards, rolling pins and much more. All of this is mass-produced by the Krasnokamsk Wooden Toy Factory, which appeared in the early 1940s as a cottage industry. The exhibition of this museum allows visitors to learn about the past and present of Krasnokamsk's toy-making craft and will be of interest to both children and adults.
