Azov Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
In 2001 the Azov German National District established a historical and local lore museum, which has 3 branches in the villages of Aleksandrovka, Trubetskoye and Prishib. It is intended to inform visitors about the formation of the Azov German National District, the history of the settlement of the Omsk Priirtyshye region, and about the everyday life and living patterns of the Siberian Germans. The museum collection consists of 5,397 items, including 4,780 items of the main collection and 617 scientific auxiliary items, as well as photographs, documents and printed materials. Special attention is paid to collecting information on the history of settlement of Siberia by German settlers and other peoples, as well as on the settlements in the district founded by migrants from the Volga region.
