About museum

In 2001 the Azovsky German National District established a historical and local history museum, which has three branches in the villages of Aleksandrovka, Trubetskoye and Prishib. It is intended to inform visitors about the formation of the Azovsky German National District, the history of settlement in the Omsk Priirtyshye area and the everyday life and customs of Siberian Germans. The museum collection comprises 5,397 items, including 4,780 objects of the main collection, 617 scientific and auxiliary items, as well as photographs, documents and printed materials. Special attention is paid to collecting information on the history of Siberian settlement by German settlers and other peoples, and on the settlements in the district founded by settlers from the Volga region.
