About museum
On October 6, 1981, based on a decision of the executive committee of the Yakshur-Bodinsky District Council of People's Deputies, a public local history museum was opened in the village of Yakshur-Bodya. Its first director was Maria Kirillovna Shklyaeva. In 1993 the museum was granted district local history status, and in 2013 it was named after her. Today the museum has an extensive ethnographic collection, on the basis of which the exhibitions "Museum of the Udmurt Fairy Tale" and "Yakshur-Bodya — in the Heart of Udmurtia", devoted to the history of the district, have been created.
