Abzelilovsky Historical and Local History Museum
About museum
In 1991 the museum was established as a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan. In 1995 an exhibition was opened presenting more than three thousand exhibits on the history of the Trans-Ural region. In particular, the museum displays a collection of women's chest ornaments decorated with corals, silver coins and felt items, as well as rarities such as a bronze axe, sickles, arrowheads, chain mail, a double-edged sword and a bone tip from a Late Sarmatian burial. In addition, the museum holds a rich assemblage of flint tools, cores and flakes, as well as photo-documentary materials depicting the district's history and the military and labor feats of its residents.
