Exhibition 'Stories from Suitcases'

The display, presented in six showcases, takes the visitor back to the past. The suitcases on show, ranging from plywood to leather, will surprise with their variety. Of interest to visitors will be not only travel suitcases but also valises, wartime-era suitcases, and schoolpacks and briefcases from the Soviet period. The suitcase exhibition tells museum guests about the history of travel with luggage and about the prudently prepared travelers of past centuries. In addition to suitcases, the exhibition will feature ladies' handbags made from a wide variety of materials: leather, fur, silk, and others.
