Exhibition 'Arbat in Faces: Poets and Writers'
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to famous writers whose lives were intertwined with the Arbat. Through the work of contemporary artists, the exhibition shows how the legacy of great writers continues to live on and inspire new generations. Visitors will learn about the connection between past and present by seeing how modern creators interpret classical themes and images. Particularly memorable for the public may be a fragment of Sergei Yesenin's poem "The Black Man" incorporated into a calligraphic rendering of a sound wave. The core of the exhibition will consist of works by contemporary artists presenting various art forms – painting, sculpture, and graphic art. Each project participant will add their own unique interpretation based on the works of the classics, creating a multilayered narrative that allows viewers to see the Arbat as a living organism that continues to develop and be enriched with new ideas.
