Today the museum offers visitors permanent tours on the history of the Konstantinovsky District, and conducts master classes and lectures. It draws attention to the study of the district's history and culture and attracts visitors from other regions. The museum is a source of information for scholarly research and provides an opportunity to become acquainted with the region's history.

\r\nThe museum is located on the second floor of the District Palace of Culture in the center of the village of Konstantinovka on Lenin Street. It was opened in 2002 as a branch of the Amur Regional Museum of Local Lore. At first the museum attracted visitors with temporary exhibitions, and later tours and lectures were held. Since 2007 the museum has been an independent institution with district status. In 2012 the premises were renovated and the museum's exhibition displays were updated. Today the museum offers visitors permanent tours on the history of the district, master classes and lectures.
