Permanent exhibition 'Nature Department'

The Alatyr Local History Museum invites everyone to visit the Nature Hall. Here visitors will discover the richness of the plant and animal life of the Alatyr region and will also see exhibits dating from the Mesozoic era! This hall displays taxidermy specimens of animals and birds that inhabit the Alatyr district. While walking through the exhibition, guests can explore various natural zones of the region: the 'Coniferous Forest', represented by woody plants such as pine and spruce; the 'Wet Floodplain Forest', rich in lakes, oxbow lakes, small rivers and streams; and the 'Sura River' with its inhabitants.
