Museum of Tyumen Stories
About museum
A space of uniqueness. People and things.
An authentic interior, original furniture and household items allow you to look 50-100 years into the past and imagine yourself as a resident of a small wooden house in the village of Oshkukovo or on the outskirts of Tyumen — in Zatyumenka.
The museum's exhibition recreates the everyday environment of my great-grandmother Anna Kornilovna Oshkukova's family, a "hereditary peasant", whose ancestors were among the first to relocate to Western Siberia from the Northern Dvina at the end of the 16th century.
The museum offers more than just tours. You can watch a play, listen to a concert, host a celebration, have a photoshoot in urban and traditional costumes, attend a corset party, or learn something new about your city at a local-history tea
