The Yukhnov Local History Museum has two exhibition halls. The Great Patriotic War Hall displays personal belongings of soldiers and officers of the Red Army (RKKA), fragments of weapons, information about military operations in the Yukhnov district in 1941–1943, the diorama "Liberation of Yukhnov" and a chronicle of the Great Patriotic War. The local history hall exhibits items of peasant household life, a spinning wheel, a loom, and the history of the Patriotic War of 1812, where a partisan detachment under the command of Denis Davydov was based. The museum also presents information about the pre-revolutionary town Stepanovskoye-Pavlishchevo and its estate. The exhibition hall hosts thematic exhibitions that include works by local artists and folk craftsmen, as well as items from the museum's collections. The museum's collection comprises more than 261 items. The Yukhnov District Local History Museum operates as a non-profit institution specializing in history; its primary purpose is not to generate profit, and any profit obtained is not distributed among participants.
